Using Synthetic Animal Intestines To Fix A CNC Drive Belt
Переглядів 1453 роки тому
This week I show how I made a temporary repair on my X-Carve CNC router's drive belt using artificial sinew. Traditional sinew was made using animal intestines and guts but in this case, I'm glad it's only the synthetic kind. It really seemed to hold up well until my replacement belts came in and I was able to finish the job. Check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks! #CNC #Xcarve #Wo...
Beer Tap Handle Done With CNC Router And A Lathe

In this week's video, I make a custom beer tap handle using both my CNC router and woodturning lathe. My buddy Andy Slater Reached out to me and asked if I could come up with a cool design for a beer tap to go on his new craft brew beer fridge. Upgrading A 12x36 Harbor Freight Lathe With A Treadmill Motor
Переглядів 14 тис.4 роки тому
So my original 12x36 harbor freight lathe motor just crapped out on me and literally caught fire just from me turning too big of a bowl for it to handle. I remembered I had an old treadmill in my shop so I decided to see if I could swap the motors and be able to achieve the speed and torque needed for my style of turning. They stopped making that lathe and I've been looking for one everywhere. There are some in FB marketplace but way on the other side of the state so I'm going it with a non variable 14 inch delta.. but I'm gonna use a brand new conversion kit just because it doesn't have the extra headstock space the CM 12x33 has

I want to do exactly what you did minus the outlet. I want to use it as a work desk/ homework desk - put a couple of computers on it. I’m new to woodworking so it sounds like a stupid question but what is the purpose of building a frame before you put the top piece on? Isn’t that a lot of weight to screw into the walls?

Wish I could buy the fan as it's NLA and armature is like $200. I bought the 690LR from Home Depot back in 2004 and it's like brand new as I've only used it for a few hours. Figure buy a tool to last me forever... For those that can find a fan, a much easier method is to put armature in freezer for 2 hours and heat fan in some 300F veggie oil. It should drop right down the shaft as this is how they probably did it at the factory. Basically the inner sleeve is 0.001 smaller than the shaft. Cooling armature shrinks the shaft and heating fan increases collar ID. You''ll only have a few seconds, so get that socket ready to tap it in place if it doesn't drop on.

Great video on how to repurpose an accessory. BTW the $55 hold down you showed isn’t available for new purchase but there are some on eBay. I have been trying to add something like this and your video has provided a key. I also have the Delta table saw like yours. Many people scorn the factory miter gauge but don’t listen to them. I bought an aftermarket miter gauge for “accuracy” but it doesn’t work any better so I’m happy using the original miter gauge.

Just hold the lighter open like you are lighting the lighter and fill it up from the top then you would not have to put the pin in the bottom like that. All it is at the top is a small valve when it is opened up it don't care what way the gas goes whatever side has more pressure will win.

just realized mine just had cotton from my jean pockets jammed in the front in a bit lmao. Figured that since I couldn't hear a hiss that it was empty but nah the cotton just stopped the hiss noise too.

Dont know why everyone keeps trying to fill these from the bottom... Just think of, "where it comes out it goes in" I do refill them through the nozzle by pressing the lever, works absolutely fine and now pin's required and 100% leaksafe because of not need to plug any holes 😬
